I am Joseph

I am Joseph

I want to win
But right before me is the call to sin
At one end, it’s all I need to become everything,
And at the other end, it’s all I need to become nothing.

All is permissible,
But this may not make my future possible
A voice said with a sound so audible
For my King, I thought darkness and light are not compatible.

When I escaped this phase
I entered into a case
But God delivered me from the chase
And finally, I set the pace.

Like an athlete, I flee
All because of the future that I see
And so, the end of my life birth a great feat
For with the king I have my seat.

I am Joseph. Meet me.

When the Heaven Kissed the Earth

We all have our time of tears
When our fears we cannot but shared
Then,it seems no one cares
But Jesus did care.

Worn out and tore apart
With sorrow stored up in our heart
Scorned by enemies and deserted by friends,
Through it all, Jesus did care.

No hope in sight
Fast losing the foresight
Seemingly as though we have lost the fight
But Jesus did win all the time.

Though huge the scars sustained
And the lost hours we can not retained
But out of the blue, He made us the star!
That is because He did care.

In the face of the overwhelming storm
Thinking we would not end the race
But because our case is different
He sets the pace and make us the ace.

We have only one hope
Which is the sole anchor for our soul
That in all of these, we’d always be more than conqueror
Because He conquered it all, long ago.

As a result, the case is closed
Devil no longer our host
And here (in His name) we have our boast
For through His cross the heaven kissed the earth!

Romans 8:37 says, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

He Broke the Silence

When they picked up the Satan’s assignment, it was conspicuous that they were all out to kill him at the prime stage of his life.

All of their adventures and sinister plans however met with divine obstruction. Like a bird from the snare of the Fowler, he escaped. They thought to themselves, may be our strategies are wrong. This is a big miss! They said with a lamenting voice.

Having escaped all of the fiery darts, he grew up only to be faced with challenges. Having friends with the mindset of brooding upon them for a life-assignment, he thought it will safeguard him.

Little did he know that the enemies were pursuing him silently through one of his chosen friends.

These plots came up after several frantic efforts and attempts to get him killed failed utterly. He was aware of all of these but his life was secured because he must fulfill the whole essence of his existence.

An insider assassin, his friend, matched them with confidence to where he was with other friends while the sky was silent still.

The peeking sign was all that delivered him into their hands. He would have fought for his life but the understanding of time won’t have allowed him to and also for the sake of his other friends.

Arrested, falsely accused, scorned by both the young and old with terrible beatings. He was stripped naked and brutally murdered. Finally given a befitting treatment due to criminals with is blood dropping and dripping on the surface of the dried ground.

Few days later, they discovered that their actions were God’s divined and orchestrated through their ignorance.

The same man that was killed came back to life. The news spread like a gangrene, putting the enemies in disarray.

He was glad spending more days with his friends after which he ascended to where he was from- sitting at the right hand of the Father.

His name is JESUS.

He broke the long, dead silence that existed between God and man through his death on the cross and his Resurrection. He brought the heaven down to us.

“Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him as you yourselves know.

This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge and you with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing to him to the cross.

But God did raise him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. ”
